I began my professional photography career in the United States Navy. Transferring from my position as a deck hand on the USS Sacramento, I became a Naval Photographer on the USS Abraham Lincoln. As a U.S. Naval Photographer, I had many different assignments, including military portraits, event and ceremony photography, the design of posters, and printing of photographs.
After 7 ½ years of serving my country, I had the dream of returning to civilian life and building my own photography business. Among my many assignments, I am proud to still be involved with the U.S. Navy on a freelance basis, including serving as the official photographer of the Navy Ball and USS Abraham Lincoln Parties at the Naval Station in Everett, Washington.
As a small town photographer, I enjoy serving the Duvall, Wash., community. Currently, a large percentage of my business centers around sports photography and poster design. Some of my current reoccurring assignments include high-school sporting events, dance, gymnastics, motorcycle racing, and amateur MMA.
I also enjoy the change of pace and opportunity to take Senior Portraits. Oftentimes, I am called on to shoot the portraits of the same athletes I’ve been photographing throughout their high school sporting careers. By combining photographic images from these athletes’ most memorable moments, along with their senior portraits, I am able to create a personalized photo layout that really reflects their individual personality and creates a keepsake they will treasure for years to come.
